The family tree asks where you came from. Chosen family asks something else entirely: how does care actually move, once you stop assuming it only flows downhill?

Every day on the Camino I passed cows. Every time I saw them, I sent the same message: There are cows who are free. There are cows who live in sanctuaries. There are cows who choose their companions. There are cows who get to keep their babies. Never stop thinking of your freedom. Spread the word.

The world is not made of resources. It is made of relatives.
